ABC's & A Weekend Spent Doing...

Parker has found his voice and has made so much verbal progress since he had tubes put in his ears.  I wish we did this simple surgery sooner because I know that was the solution to him talking.  He still is only saying mostly 1 word at a time, but the amount of words he is saying is incredible from where he was 2 months ago.  He will sometimes say 2 words... like "more milk" or "night night Dada", and I know this is still behind where he should be, but I know he will get there eventually.  When I picked him up from Nannie and Poppies house on Friday Nannie had informed me that he will now repeat the spelling of his name back to you, as well as the entire alphabet.  So, I tried it when we got home, and I was super impressed.  He can do the whole alphabet too, and every letter sounds accurate except for the "w".  So proud of my little boy who 6 months ago didn't say or repeat anything but dada.
Here is a video of him repeating the spelling of his name.  At the end he tries to say his name unprompted, which is SO freaking cute to me.

On Saturday, Matt, Parker, and I got up and out the door for some consignment sale shopping.  Have I told you how obsessed I am with consignment sales?!!  I got P some really cute (gently used) polo's and shorts for the summer.  I'm pretty sure the 12 month size shorts will be too big, but for $1.50 each I couldn't resist buying them.  I'm so ready for spring weather when I can dress him all his cute new preppy clothes.  After shopping, we stopped a J Christophers for a bite to eat.  LOVE this restuarant, and Parker ate like a champ.

Next up on our Saturday, we went to the Cone's couples baby shower.  After that we met Parker back at the Howell's for some pizza, and then we got to take cousin Joey home with us to babysit Saturday night.  Unfortunatly Joey fell asleep on the way home and by the time he woke up Parker was fast asleep for the night.  I was bummed that we didn't have them when they were both awake and playing.  Oh well, it was nice to have some quality time with our nephew.

Love this picture of the boys playing at Nannie & Poppie's

Sunday was very low key, and I was able to capture some sweet pictures of my boys and our dog....
